Lucky

Billowing clouds of thick black smoke blanketed the flaming night sky. The sirens of police cars & fire trucks were blaring from a distance. Cautiously, I traipsed along the path which was swamped with claustrophobic mass of people. My eyes were darting back & forth rapidly, searching for the face of my friend who was at the climbing center earlier. I watched in horror as the fire flared up uncontrollably, engulfing the whole building mercilessly. Calmness was restored when I managed to locate my friend, BBWolf, who had gathered with the other climbers at a safe corner of the street. Thankfully, everyone escaped unharmed :)

My initial plan was to go the climbing center for bouldering, but didn't make it in the end because i went for a hair cut instead.

Am i lucky or what?

Hair Cut

Mom complained that my hair looked like an unkempt fluffy chicken -_-*

Knocked off work early yesterday, hence I decided to get professional help on my unruly mane..

Stylist: How do you want your hair cut?

JL: Short, neat & stylish.

Stylist: OK.

*snip snip snip*

JL: eh can shorter ah?

Stylist: can...

*snip snip snip*

JL: ermmm.. shorter?

Stylist: Are you sure? Any shorter it will not have the layered effect.

JL: never mind… I just want it to be neat.

Stylist: OK. By the way, you are balding.

JL: O_O’

Stylist: It’s not serious but I suggest that you apply some hair growth tonic on the balding area.

JL: Orh…(My hair has started departing) :(

*snip snip*

Stylist: OK.. done. Have a look.. do you like it?

JL: (aiyah why look so weird 1, but at least it’s neater now).. it’s OK lah, thanks.

(reached home)

Mom: Eeyer… why your hair looks like yam.

JL: O_o* Y..y..ya..yam??!

From a fluffy chicken to a yam... What a huge transformation hoh :P

Long Time No See

-Taken from The Sun newspaper-

Double Trouble

KL: Labradors Lucky & Flo began a one-month trial operation yesterday to sniff out pirated DVDs and CDs in Malaysia, the Motion Picture Association (MPA) said in a statement. The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry invited MPA to bring the Northern-Ireland trained canines after ministry officials saw them in action in Hongkong and Dubai.

During their mission, dubbed Operation Double Trouble, they will work alongside enforcement officers in various parts of the country to help the ministry assess the feasibility of setting up a dog enforcement unit.

They were in action at the Malaysia Airlines cargo loading area at KLIA. They sniffed cardboard boxes and then sat down, wagging their tails when they found something suspicious. Lucky and Flo are trained to detect polycarbonate and other chemicals used in optical discs but cannot tell between legitimate and pirated discs. – AFP

LOL!!!!!!

This is unbelievable... Using trained canines to sniff out PIRATED DISCS?! What are the customs doing? Bum around and be merry? Come on lah

Furthermore, they’re planning to use 2 doggies only for the operations in various parts of the country. That’s exploitation and mistreatment! Poor poor doggies...

I smell trouble already…

P.S. Perhaps Liucas & Goldie can send in their applications ^_^

Part 1 of Moz's Lapuk tag

5 lamest movies i've ever seen:

  • Legend of The Red Curse

One word: SUCK! (BIG TIME). I’m amazed that Bjarne Wong (the director) could come up with another equally atrocious movie called Possessed (famous for the Amber Chia break dance scene). This guy just never learned from his mistakes *sigh*

  • Date movie

I like Alyson Hannigan in the cult-status American Pie movies. She’s likable, blurry cute & witty. But in the Date Movie, she became a major dumb nincompoop that’s beyond hope. Her acting is horrible and the movie is appalling! I didn’t even twitch a muscle throughout the whole show. If she ever tries that again, she will be history.

This photo is taken at Hutan Lipur Sungai Tua which is located on the link road between Selayang and Ulu Yam. I used to go there quite often in my free time, especially during weekends. I like to rest on one of the many huge boulders that sturdily seated along the river and enjoy the calming serenity of the place.

Recently i visited the place again with CJ. The place was packed with people (must be due to School Holiday), but we still managed to spend a peaceful Sunday relaxing, chatting & taking photos there (by the way CJ is a very good photographer... impress).

P.S. I'm going to KK next week for holiday! yippee...It's going to be my first attempt to conquer the majestic Mt Kinabalu. If anyone has any wishes for me to carry up there, do pass them to me OK ^_^ cheers
