Peace

What do you do when you're angry?

Anger, when it's channeled properly, can be a form of productive energy.

How do you channel it positively?

Many artists, singers, composers and painters, have successfully used this energy to produce some of the world's greatest arts.

Different people have different ways of diffusing their anger. But NEVER EVER direct your anger on living things - be it human, animals or plants. Uncontrolled anger will manifest in the form of violence.

Violence is like a 2 edged sword, it cuts both way. Control your anger or else it will control you.

What do i do when i'm mad?

I exercise. The rewards are a better health and a stronger body.

I listen to music. Music has tremendous effect on one's emotion. Some lift you up, some make you sad and some sooth the mood.

The song below is called 'Bangles' and it's written by Niraj Chag. Even though i don't understand the lyrics, but it makes me feel calm and peaceful every time i listen to it (Another track that i've managed to find on youtube is called 'Khwaab' which is from the same composer). It's simply beautiful :)

Confucious once said:

When anger rises, think of the consequences.

Sunscreen

What do you do when you’re overwhelmed by life itself?

You’ll start to think.

You’ll start to rationalize.

“What if I didn’t make that decision?”

“What if I took that job?”

“What if I studied a different course?”

So many ‘what if’s.

Mistakes… I’ve made a plenty. Who doesn’t? The point is to learn from your mistakes and be wise enough not to repeat the same mistake.

A perfect life does not necessary equate to a happy life. It is when we’ve chosen to look beyond the imperfections then we’ll see the beauty of life.

Anna Quindlen once said

“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.”

I don’t want what my work wants me to be.

I don’t want what my family wants me to be.

I don’t want what my friends want me to be.

I just want to be myself and be…

Loved and accepted ^_^

Who do you see when you look in the mirror?

Sunscreen by Baz Luhrmann

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’97 If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience… I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked… You’re not as fat as you imagine.

Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

Sing

Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss

Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life… the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.

Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own..

Dance… even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.

Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen

A Song / Sampat Empat

I’ve been singing a song

That no one could hear

Until you came along.

A few broken chords, a simple melody

Nothing spectacular, nothing noteworthy.

Pianissimo, fortissimo,

Gently, & gracefully it flows

Crescendo, marcato,

Boldly, & loudly it proclaims...

Mi Amor… Mi Amor …

Siempre veraz y leal sere…

Nada más… nada menos…

Te daré mi major

Ves mi sueño… mi querido…

Caminemos… sobre mi sueño, junto

Construyamos… un mundo , junto

Butterfly Lovers

Have always love the music, ever since i watched the movie when i was kid.

The famous Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto was written by 2 Chinese composers, Chen Gang & He Zhan Hao in 1959.

The soloist featured in these clips is Mr. Lu Szu Ching from China, who has won the prestigious Paganini Competition in 1987. He is one of the best violinists I've ever heard and his rendition is simply beautiful :)

Where Are Your Children?

*smurf's new uniform

What's wrong with the picture above?

It's raining ... ahuh

Cars... ahuh

School children... huh?

It was raining yesterday after work. I couldn't get to my car which was parked across the street. Therefore, I'd to wait out the heavy downpour with other unlucky people who were stranded as well.

While i was standing at the front entrance of my office's lobby, something odd caught my eyes. Small yellow people, happily walking in the rain, was appearing one after another at the park in front of me. First i thought

'Wah... Mini DIGI yellow men'

The thing is they were all primary school students.

What in the world!?

Felt like walking straight to the teachers and gave them a few good smacks on the face.

Hello!

It's raining + Traffic congestion + KL drivers = HAZARD!

What a bunch of reckless teachers. Too bad I didn't manage to get the name of the school. If not I'll definitely call up the school (pretending to be the parent) and give the principle a good sounding.

Parents... Where are your children? Are they safe?
