*tweet tweet tweet… tweet tweet tweet… tweet tweet tweet*
I stared at the clock in my phone… 4am!!! dem
Time to get up…
Still sleepy…
Why did I get such an early flight -_-*
Reached KL Sentral around 5am (thanks mom) and to my surprise, the bus terminal was already buzzing with people!!! Apparently, all of them were going to LCCT… Everyone can fly eh…
*saw a sky bus* Quickly hopped into the bus and secured myself a window seat (planned to take some photos while on the way to LCCT).
It’s still very dark outside… couldn’t do much photography *sigh…
*0532 hours
A little shiny silver box was sitting on my lap. I looked at the box and my lips formed a slight upward curve. Inside the shiny box was a Tiramisu cake CJ had bought for me.
Happy ^_^ (thanks CJ)
-LCCT @ 0603 Hrs-
“Mak Oi! Ramainyer orang!”
*Exodus
Greeted by an even more shocking sight. This time people were literally everywhere. XT (my ex-Uni buddy) was waiting for me at McD. We made a quick dash to the check in counter to get our boarding passes before the claustrophobic mass of people started to flood in.
*Showed IC to the officer at the check in counter*
-5 mins later -
Given a piece of miserable print out as boarding pass… Save cost eh…
XT: It’s free seating... so must be quick if you want to get a good seat
JL: Free seating??? Orh…
*space
Apart from the slightly uncomfortable seat (too upright for my liking), I’ve had no complaints for Air Asia flight. The plane is new & clean, friendly flight attendants and the most amazing thing (according to XT)… there’s NO DELAY, which happens quite often… Lucky ^_^
-KK Terminal 2 @ 1215pm-
*Yawn* sleepy -___-
*Welcome to KK Terminal 2
We walked around the terminal while waiting for our friend, Sue (ex-Uni mate), to pick us up.
-15 mins later-
Sue arrived in her funky new red MyVi. She hasn’t changed much since Uni except gotten a little fairer. She brought us to this shop called ‘Jia Xiang Sen Rou Mien’ (according to her it’s quite famous at KK… betul ke) for brunch. At 1st I was wandering what’s a raw meat noodle… rupanyer it’s just pork noodle. It’s nice but what I like most was their ‘Lin Chin Kang’ which uses soy bean :)
*
Ah Moi... mana gua mia mee oink oink?
*snap snap snap*
*Clouds ^_^
One thing I noticed about KK is that the skies are always filled with beautiful clouds. It must have got to do with the topography where it’s surrounded by the majestic Crocker Range from the east and the beautiful South China Sea from the west.
Cloud formation:
Air cools as it flows up a mountain. When it has reached its saturation point, water vapor condenses into tiny visible droplets in the atmosphere as clouds.
“Wah clouds!!!”
*More Clouds ^_^ - Cumulonimbus
*Bermacam-macam awan ada ^_^ - Cumulonimbus
*snap snap snap*
XT & Sue: -after brunch-
While walking around KK town, tiba-tiba I spotted an Ah Pek with Jesus!
*Styrofoam carving
Ah Pek’s carving the Styrofoam which later will be made into a mould to make the statue (according to Ah Pek, the carving costs RM10 000 O_O). Interesting eh?...
-Around 1pm @ Sabah Museum-
The Good:
- Traditional costumes of all the tribes found in Sabah
- Musical instruments
- Weapons
- Pottery
- Old photographs
- Stuffed dead animals (I saw a Dugong!)
- Long Houses
- Botanical Garden (Flower power! Nice)
*Muzium Sabah
The Bad:
- Lighting sucks
- Dusty *Sneeze*
- Unkempt (web-sites everywhere... going virtual eh?)
- Mana Label?
*Nymphaeaceae - Water lily
Learned a great deal on the history of Sabah. It’s really a pity that the place is not well maintained… what a waste…
After visiting the Museum, we met up with Sue’s BF, K, who drove us to Nexus Resort in his sturdy Prado.
‘Wah.. clouds!’
*snap snap snap*
*Cirrus & Altostratus clouds
XT, Sue & K:
-430pm @ Nexus Resort-
The resort is located in a secluded cove North East of KK called the Karambunai Peninsula. It claimed to have a 6-km pristine white sandy beach and million-year old tropical rainforest poise as the majestic margin & back drop woh…
*Nexus Resort
We spent the night in one of their Ocean deluxe room… Nothing to shout about the room but the ocean view is very nice.
XT: what do you want to do later?
JL: sleep *hide underneath the comforter*
XT: WTF… we didn’t come all the way here just to sleep… It’s for sun, sand, sea, & most all… skimpy bikinis!!!
JL: *sleepy face* you go ahead and have fun… I only have 1 S in my mind now.. that is to SLEEP
XT: *take away pillows & blankets* get you ass off the bed and follow me to the beach!
JL: B.. b.. bu..but.. I want to sleep………
XT: You can sleep all you want after dinner but now... TO THE BEACH!
JL: -___-‘
XT went for a dip in the pool before heading off to the open sea. I on the other hand chose to stay dry. I walked along the really beautiful pristine sandy beach and did some photography.
*breathtaking view
Awed by the clarity of the water… it’s really clear & odorless.
*Double Rainbow ^_^
Next, I looked up and saw a beautiful double rainbow fading into the sunset sky (for the first time). ^_^
-Dinner @ Gayang-
Had:
- Prawns (sweet & juicy)
- Soft shell crabs (crispy but a lil too salty)
- Tilapia Fish (Nyonya style… sedap)
- Mixed Vegetables (normal lah..)
- Elephant trunk clam (eeyer…)
Damage done: RM140 for 4 person. Quite reasonable :)
-1030 pm... ish-
Happy. Full. Contented. What’s next?
TIDUR LAH……………. ^_^
