Hearts Robyn

She is definitely one understated artist which deserves more recognition.

Instantly hooked on Show Me Love when i first heard it back in primary school (18 years ago... wow...)

She might not be as unique as Bjork but she does have her own affable quirkiness and some of her songs are really good.

Lady Gaga... please take note because I honestly think the MV for Edge of Glory is really bad. You can make an MV about you and be interesting and engaging at the same time.

You know you better spice it flavor it get it right; savor it

Do you?

On my waist, through my hair

When no one is watching…

Think about it when you touch me there

When the beat pulses in unison with the heart…

Close my eyes, here you are all alone dancing in the dark

When the rhythm gets the body moving...

Tell me baby if it’s wrong to let my hands do what they want?

No inhibition…

Late at night I pretend we are dance-dance- dancing in the dark (repeat)

Just surrender to the music..

And dance…

When you work on me
Open my body up and do some surgery
Now that you got me up
I wanna taste it
And see those pocket aces
I wanna see who you are

I got a sex drive to push the start
On my waist, through my hair
Think about it when you touch me there
Close my eyes, here you are dance-dance-dancing in the dark

I love to flirt to see
I’m only talking to you if you wanna surf my seas.

Now that you got me boy
You know you better spice it flavor it get it right; savor it

Wanna see who you are, got a sex drive to push the start
On my waist, through my hair.
Think about it when you touch me there.
Close my eyes, here you are all alone dancing in the dark
Tell me baby is it wrong?
To let my hands do what they want
Late at night I pretend we are dance-dance- Dancing in the Dark

Tell me baby if its wrong
Dancing in the dark
To let my hands do what they want
Dancing in the dark!

AAsia Online Support

Fitri: Hello JL. How may I help you?

JL: Good morning Fitri

Fitri: Welcome to Air Asia ! Before we proceed, I would need some basic information from you. May I have your full name and mobile number?

JL: JL, +60*********

Fitri: Thank you for the information. How may i assist you today?

JL: I would like to know the reason why my flight is rescheduled and is there any form of compensation?

Fitri: Can i have the booking number please?

JL: KL907YE

Fitri: Please kindly bear with me while I retrieve the information for you. Thank You.

JL: Thank you very much

Fitri: yes, your flight has been re-timed.

Itinerary dept/arrv times were changed

Itinerary dept/arrv times were changed

From: 1705/2025 To: 0900/1230 Flt: AK 595 JOGKUL

So we are able to offer you this option:

For a flight re-time more than 3 hours or flight cancel, we can move your flight to any available flight within 3 months/credit shell/full refund.

Please be advised, we can move your flight for one time for free only. The request can only done at the call centre.

You can reach us at 600 85 9999 (Operating hours 7am-7pm GMT+8) Day : Daily

JL: Thank you, but there's only 1 time available for both flights. It means i don't have any other choice. It's either i stick with the re-timed flight or a full refund. Am i right?

Fitri: Yes

JL: The reason is, i could have taken the zero fare when i purchased the tickets, but i paid more to get a better time and now it's re-timed with 1 flight option only. Is there a way to seek compensation rather than a full refund because i have to fly on the stated period as i have paid for my lodging, tour etc

Fitri: That is the only option provided and we do not provide any compensation because AirAsia is budget airline

JL: It's not fair for customers who paid for a better flight time and later being rescheduled to fly with those who might have paid less or zero fare for the earlier flight

Fitri: If you find this an inconvenience, please submit an online feedback form to the guest support team so that the issue can be forwarded to the precise departments for further action http://www.airasia.com/my/en/faqdetailsform.html

JL: Alright. Thanks for the info and your help. Appreciate your help and have a nice day.

Fitri: Do not hesitate to contact us again should you require any further information.

Thank you for contacting A.Asia. Have a pleasant day !

*Kucing also can fly :)*

My online feedback form which hasn't been replied or whatsoever until today (trip was in May 2010)!

I'm disappointed to know that both flights, which I’ve paid for a better flight time, are re-timed to a very inconvenient early flight. I have contacted your staffs and the options provided are to either seek a full refund or reschedule to another day (as there is only 1 flight a day, no point reschedule to another time). I must travel on the stated period because I’ve already made payment for my lodging and tours. This arrangement is very unfair to customers like me who paid for a better flight but then being rescheduled to an earlier flight which costs less or zero fare. I asked your staff is there any other form of compensation instead of full refund, his reply is 'That is the only option provided and we do not provide any compensation because AirAsia is budget airline'. I'm so disheartened by this. Budget airline doesn't mean the service has to be budgeted as well. I sincerely hope something can be done on this. I'm a fan of A.Asia and in the past, i'd experienced multiple delayed flights but this is the most distressing of all.

Ah Beng

ah beng

A term normally used in Malaysia and Singapore to refer to ethnic Chinese youths with a rather loud, and/or some would say, terrible sense of fashion. They probably would come from a lower income household. Some would argue that these youths are trying to emulate Japanese street fashion, but did not really succeed. The common Ah Beng would sport an outrageously bleached, or blond-dyed hair; an odd bootcut trousers; a tight t-shirt; and some not really pretty tattoos.

Mama has ah-beng-ized me.

She opted a new savvy copper red hairdo and complained mine was too plain.

So i got a cut, which i kinda like, but then the color didn't turn out the way i wanted.

She then said i should get a Tattoo right below my nape cause it looks cool. No thank you.

She bought me tight shirts and secretly threw'gave away my baggy pants and old normal t-shirts.

>.<

This is all because Mama is a semi-closeted Ah Lian.

‘1Toilet’ plan to let teachers and students mingle freely

KUALA TERENGGANU: The state government will introduce a “1Toilet” policy in a move to liberalise education, where teachers – and even principals – will soon have to share toilets with their students.

Sharing toilet will liberalize education?! WTF!

State Education, Higher Learning, Human Resource, Science and Technology Committee chairman Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman said the policy was mooted in line with the 1Malaysia concept, and teachers and students could have a feeling of “oneness”.

Ya... "oneness"... notice the inverted commas.

“We want students to have a sense of belonging that we believe would inspire them to excel further in their education.

Teacher can discuss about trajectory while peeing, live demo of human anatomy, etc.

“When students share the toilets with the teacher, they (students) will believe that they are on par with academicians and this automatically invokes a sense of being important to an organisation, which, in this case, is the school,” he said here yesterday.

Peeing next to my maths teacher will definitely invokes a sense of being important.

“We are not compelling the school authorities to apply the policy. It is their prerogative,” said Ahmad Razif.

“So far, we have one school in Hulu Terengganu that has implemented the policy a few days ago. It has received positive feedback from the school management although it is still premature for us to evaluate its efficiency,” he said.

School management *cough perverted teachers cough* gave positive feedback.

Ahmad Razif said that under the policy, teachers and students would also be encouraged to sit within a common space at school canteens during recess.

“This means that teachers and students will mingle freely during recess,” he said.

Ahmad Razif said the policy had initially been proposed by Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Said earlier this year but that it took some time for it to be properly drafted.

It took a minister and his honchos a few months to draft a toilet sharing policy?! Bravo! Aren't there other more impending issues & policies to look into?

On another matter, Ahmad Razif said the state government would continue to send students to pursue medicine and dentistry in recognised universities in Indonesia.

“We are looking into the option of sending our students to universities in areas classified as non-earthquake prone areas in Indonesia,” he said.

Ahmad Razif said the state government was also in the midst of discussions with officials from University Padjadjaran of Bandung on the possibility of sending Terengganu students for medical courses there.

He said other countries that the state government was planning to send their medical undergraduates next year were Poland and Russia.

Why ah? i though the garblement is so damn bangga of our own Institutions of Higher Learning?

The-1 trend is very popular now... we have 1Malaysia, 1Utama, 1UMNO.. and now i'll add another...

1TheFuck! (can you feel the oneness)

AA Meeting

Brussel was packed to the brim last Saturday, no table was left unoccupied after 10pm. Business must be phenomenal.

We took a table right near the entrance and ordered our favourite ales (Hoegaarden, Leffe etc.). Moved indoor later because we had issue with sensitive underarms :p

JL: It’s getting warm and warmer. Should we move inside?
ALL: Sure, if they have a table

While walking in

JL: I’m starting to sweat… my ketiaks are a lil wet
AI: Yaloh… Me too

Seated

JL: Luckily we moved in, it’s getting so warm that AI’s ketiaks sudah basah
AI: OI!
JL: sorry, if I’ve offended your ketiaks
AI: Yes, they are offended and teary now

Laughter ensued

After making merry with my Hoe, ordered another brunet K-leffe (Lefffe Brune) and chatted the night away.

*YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMM SEEENNNNGGGG!!*

Can’t wait for the next Avid Alcoholics Meeting :P

King of The Road

Tried to sleep around 1030pm but stayed awake until midnight before dozing off. It was not a deep sleep hence I woke up groggy and tired. Contemplated to sleep in and chicken out but the excitement kept me awake. Took a shower and drank a bottle of Tiger beer before I left home, carbs for energy, so they said :p

*taken after the race. stadium is in dire need of a facelift*

Damn! Left my new running shoes in the office. No choice but to use my old Puma which I predicted wouldn’t survive the race, prediction came true… sigh…

*why now!!!*

Reached the stadium around 545am, registration was painless and saw many people running around to warm up. Did a little stretching in the stadium. Menteri Besar Selangor came to flag off the race… yawn…

First 15km, did great but the right sole was giving in… damn… Impressed by the abundance of refreshment stations and the efficiency of traffic police. The reason why it’s called ‘King of the road’, cars had to stop for the runner no matter when/where :p

*lesen untuk jadi road buli heh heh heh*

Hate the course… too many up hills... siao ah! Breathing was OK, but legs’ muscle kaputed… damn… Result: 2 hours 20 minutes for 22.7km… not too bad I guess.

*nyawa nyawa ikan runners*

Status: Limping around on my right foot. Ouch!

Kuching Kolo Mee

Chinese Temple Food Court on Carpenter Street (1)

*behind the food court is a stage for perfomance during festival*

I ordered their special and my Kolo Mee came with prawns, fish paste, fish cake and BBQ pork. The noodle was tangy and it resembles maggi noodle but the texture was more like pan mee. It was tossed with oil and pepper which is different from the Peninsular’s brown sauce version.

*Indomee China?*

Having heard how tasty Sarawak coffee is, i ordered one and i wasn't disappointed.

*i'm not a coffee fan but this is really fragrant*

Chong Choon Coffee Shop on Abel Road (2)

*the front entrance*

Chong Choon Cafe is a ‘lou chi hou’ of Kuching’s kopitiam. It’s 2 blocks away from Air Asia office and it’s facing an old hotel which I’ve forgotten the name. The stall at the front of the cafe is known to serve the best Sarawak Laksa (Poh Lam Laksa) but unfortunately it was closed when I was there (Tuesday). I saw a few friendly Malay ladies mending a stall opposite that sells Mee Jawa. I walked over wanting to place an order but their Mee Jawa was already sold out.

*ang moh enjoying local kopitiam*

I settled for a bowl of Kolo Mee from the 2nd stall and chose a seat at the back of the coffee shop. Equally tasty as the one at the Chinese Temple Food Court but they used big juicy prawns instead.

*big kiss ass juicy prawn*

*officially hooked on this*

Next Coffee Shop on Bishopgate Street (3)

*can't wait ah... go to the next shop la...*

This shop is touted to serve the best Kolo Mee in Kuching City. It was packed when I reached the shop and a few tables hadn’t gotten their orders yet.

*see the aunt's expression is so serious, like preparing a bomb liddat*

After 5 minutes of waiting, a table was available in the shop and I hurriedly walked in to secure the table. I was told by the waitress to wait when I signalled her to my table, waited I did like a good little boy while enjoying their famous ‘Teh C Peng’. It was so good that I had 2 glasses. The shop only sells Kolo Mee and ‘Mix Pork Soup’. I was eagerly anticipating for my food and it arrived 45 minutes later. The noodles itself wasn’t that impressive but boy I was wrong, the texture and taste were the best of the lot. There’s a tint sour taste to the noodle and I deduced they added vinegar on top of the usual pepper and oil. It’s really delicious. The ‘mix pork soup’ is very clear and not too overpowering, perfect partner to the noodle. This shop really deserved the title of Best Kolo Mee in Kuching City.

*I AM NOT A PAN MEE, flips noodle*

*porky i heart chu*

Attached is a map showing the location of all these shops i've visited.

P.S. I found a pastry shop with almost the same name as Chong Choon. This one is called Chong Chon and it's located on a small lane next to Kuching Central Police Station .Their egg tart is to die for! Very much regretted that i didn't try their curry puff, siew pao and yam puff.
