Peace
Anger, when it's channeled properly, can be a form of productive energy.
How do you channel it positively?
Many artists, singers, composers and painters, have successfully used this energy to produce some of the world's greatest arts.
Different people have different ways of diffusing their anger. But NEVER EVER direct your anger on living things - be it human, animals or plants. Uncontrolled anger will manifest in the form of violence.
Violence is like a 2 edged sword, it cuts both way. Control your anger or else it will control you.
What do i do when i'm mad?
I exercise. The rewards are a better health and a stronger body.
I listen to music. Music has tremendous effect on one's emotion. Some lift you up, some make you sad and some sooth the mood.
The song below is called 'Bangles' and it's written by Niraj Chag. Even though i don't understand the lyrics, but it makes me feel calm and peaceful every time i listen to it (Another track that i've managed to find on youtube is called 'Khwaab' which is from the same composer). It's simply beautiful :)
Confucious once said:
When anger rises, think of the consequences.

Sunscreen
What do you do when you’re overwhelmed by life itself?
You’ll start to think.
You’ll start to rationalize.
“What if I didn’t make that decision?”
“What if I took that job?”
“What if I studied a different course?”
So many ‘what if’s.
Mistakes… I’ve made a plenty. Who doesn’t? The point is to learn from your mistakes and be wise enough not to repeat the same mistake.
A perfect life does not necessary equate to a happy life. It is when we’ve chosen to look beyond the imperfections then we’ll see the beauty of life.
Anna Quindlen once said
“The thing that is really hard, and really amazing, is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself.”
I don’t want what my work wants me to be.
I don’t want what my family wants me to be.
I don’t want what my friends want me to be.
I just want to be myself and be…
Loved and accepted ^_^
Who do you see when you look in the mirror?
Sunscreen by Baz Luhrmann
Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ’97 If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience… I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked… You’re not as fat as you imagine.
Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.
Do one thing everyday that scares you
Sing
Don’t be reckless with other people’s hearts, don’t put up with people who are reckless with yours.
Floss
Don’t waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you’re ahead, sometimes you’re behind…the race is long, and in the end, it’s only with yourself.
Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.
Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.
Stretch
Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life… the most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don’t.
Get plenty of calcium.
Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone.
Maybe you’ll marry, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll have children, maybe you won’t, maybe you’ll divorce at 40, maybe you’ll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don’t congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your choices are half chance, so are everybody else’s. Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don’t be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own..
Dance… even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.
Read the directions, even if you don’t follow them.
Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.
Get to know your parents, you never know when they’ll be gone for good.
Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.
Understand that friends come and go,but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.
Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.
Travel.
Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you’ll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.
Respect your elders.
Don’t expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund,
maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one
might run out.
Don’t mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will
look 85.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who
supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of
fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the
ugly parts and recycling it for more than
it’s worth.
But trust me on the sunscreen

A Song / Sampat Empat
That no one could hear
Until you came along.
A few broken chords, a simple melody
Nothing spectacular, nothing noteworthy.
Pianissimo, fortissimo,
Gently, & gracefully it flows
Crescendo, marcato,
Boldly, & loudly it proclaims...
Mi Amor… Mi Amor …
Siempre veraz y leal sere…
Nada más… nada menos…
Te daré mi major
Ves mi sueño… mi querido…
Caminemos… sobre mi sueño, junto
Construyamos… un mundo , junto

Butterfly LoversHave always love the music, ever since i watched the movie when i was kid.
The famous Butterfly Lovers' Violin Concerto was written by 2 Chinese composers, Chen Gang & He Zhan Hao in 1959.
The soloist featured in these clips is Mr. Lu Szu Ching from China, who has won the prestigious Paganini Competition in 1987. He is one of the best violinists I've ever heard and his rendition is simply beautiful :)

Where Are Your Children?
What's wrong with the picture above?
It's raining ... ahuh
Cars... ahuh
School children... huh?
It was raining yesterday after work. I couldn't get to my car which was parked across the street. Therefore, I'd to wait out the heavy downpour with other unlucky people who were stranded as well.
While i was standing at the front entrance of my office's lobby, something odd caught my eyes. Small yellow people, happily walking in the rain, was appearing one after another at the park in front of me. First i thought
'Wah... Mini DIGI yellow men'
The thing is they were all primary school students.
What in the world!?
Felt like walking straight to the teachers and gave them a few good smacks on the face.
Hello!
It's raining + Traffic congestion + KL drivers = HAZARD!
Parents... Where are your children? Are they safe?

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
KK Day 5 & 6
The weather was very kind to us today. No sight of cumulonimbus as far as the eye can see. Without much hesitation, both of us quickly made our way to the water sport rental shop to get some snorkeling gears. I chose a pair of flippers & a mask while XT got a life jacket and a mask.
1... 2... 3... *duuushh..*
wah fishes everywhere... no pictures here cause gua mia digital camera not H2Oproof.
Managed to see some corals and some weird weird tei mia fishes. There was a group of Japanese ojisans and obasans snorkeling around the vicinity as well.
After an hour of snorkeling, i retired to the beach to enjoy the glorious sun. What a beautiful day :)
*tap tap*
hmmm...?
Someone tapped my shoulder.
Turned around to see a petite Japanese auntie in a multicolored polka dots bathing suit. She had this big smile plastered across her face.
Oba-San: Konichiwa... (good afternoon)
JL: *nod head* Konichiwa... (good afternoon)
Oba-San:*wide eyes* Ah..... anatawa nihon jin desu-ka? kili kala kili kala see hum chow lala...(Ah... are you a Japanese? bla bla bla... can't decipher :P)
JL:*wide eyes* sumimasen... watashiwa ni hon jin ja arimasen... mareisha jin desu... nihon-go wakaranai ^_^ (i'm sorry... i'm not a Japanese... a Malaysian... i don't understand Japanese ^_^)
Oba-San: Ahhh..... plis... help... tek pikcha :)
JL: Hai... no problem... ichi.. nii.. san.. *snap snap snap* (dasyat juga this auntie mia posings) :P
Oba-San: ten kyu... ten kyu :D
JL: you're welcome :)
5th time being mistaken as a Japanese. Gua mia eyes that sepet meh -_-
Left the island around 1300 pm. This time around the ride wasn't as rocky as yesterday and i managed to take a few good shots of the island and its surrounding.
Back on main land KK. What's next?
Shopping!
We went to the Filipino market to get some souvenirs for our friends and some decorative items for XT's new condo (It's in Sentul East... fui yoh :P)
We checked in to the Magellan Sutera at around 1500pm. It's so much better than Pacific Sutera and i like their spacious bathroom that has a huge kick ass bath tub. Nice!
-KK Day 6-
Couldn't believe it's already the last day...
With a heavy heart, i bid farewell to the Land below the wind. Haven't had such a nice holiday for a long time. I had tons of fun at KK and climbing Mt. KK was an amazing journey. So for now...
Astalavista... i'll be back :)

KK Day 4 / The Sun
No tweeting on day 4... why?
XT & I had planned to wake up around 0145 am because our guide was going to meet us at 0230 am. No longer able to sleep, we packed our gears for the climb and had our breakfast with the hooligans (we shared a table... grrr...). These noisy buggers made an equally annoying ruckus while they’re having breakfast as well. Talking, laughing, banging the table, and utensils etc.
Sat at the table munching away my breakfast while observing these bodohsapiens, Mr. Hyde ‘moi’ was coming up with all sort of retributions that would make the devil proud; Laxative in drink, Glass powder in food, ‘accidentally’ push/trip them over the cliff, and booby traps... muahahahaha...
By the way, why is it called a BOOBY trap? Is it because the explosive looks like a boob? What if I’m using a stick grenade? Shall I name it Willy Trap then? All right, I digress :P
*chant* what goes around, comes around… hooligans hmmph…
It was freezing cold that morning, must be at least 5 degree Celsius because it reminded me of my autumn at
Kiasu? Boh lah… eh that fella at the back is catching up, XT quick… run! :P
It was pitch black outside, so dark that I couldn’t even see anything beyond 6 feet. Thankfully, I had my hand held torch with me, which was extremely useful until it decided to go kaput half way up the peak... sial
*bodoh mia torch light. (Note to self must bring head light next time, NO hand held).
For the last 30 minutes of the ascent, I had to depend on intermittent flashes from other climbers and literally felt my way to the top. Almost ran into a few pot holes and boulders as I was hiking fast, really fast because I thought XT was in front of me. At that time, I wished I could have eyes like Riddick. Looking back, I’m so thankful that I made it to the peak safely and unscathed. It’s really dangerous to hike in the dark.
*A Mah ngor tak zhor lah
*Low’s Peak*
Didn’t get to be the 1st… no thanks to torch light grrrr… but I was the first 5 people who reached the peak. But there’s no sign of XT. Where the heck did he go? I called out his name a few times and got no reply. Hmmm… Hope he didn’t fall into one of those nasty pot holes along the way.
‘He’ll be alright’ I said to myself to stay calm.
*Happy Thoughts*
I was relieved when I finally heard him hollering my name 5 minutes later. The first word that came out his legendary foul mouth was
XT: ‘Bab!#@*¢%, why the heck did you hike so fast and left me all alone’
J: ‘Sorry loh… I thought you’re in front of me. My torch died half way just now’
XT: *muka geram habis*
J: =P
*phew*
Great is the reward of those who persevere till the end. My reward didn’t come until the first light of the day. The sun, peeking from behind a cluster of cirrocumulus clouds, was slowly revealing the grandeur of Mt Kinabalu and I found myself in awed at the sight of this geological wonder.
*surreal*
Couldn’t believe that I was standing on this massive pluton, which was formed 10 million years ago underneath the earth surface. After spending a good hour absorbing the splendors at the peak, we resumed our journey down to the foot of the mountain.
- I’m planning to
Our feet screamed in protest after reaching the foot of the mountain. XT cursed profusely every time he had to go down a step or a stairway. It’s hilarious, that guy is one mean cursing machine; Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, English, Bahasa Melayu, Tamil, semua boleh :) We waited at the bus stop to catch a bus to town after our lunch at a nearby restaurant. XT had this crazy idea of hitchhiking and he was doing it while sitting on the bench at the bus stop. Before I could even laugh at his antic, a sturdy Mitsubishi 4WD made a dramatic stop in front of us
Wah! Like that also can ah?
Anyway, we got our free ride to KK town and saved RM15 each.
It rained cats & dogs after we had arrived at Jessleton Jetty. We were worried that the ferry would not ferry us to
‘what if the boat capsizes?’
‘hmm.. Are there any sharks here?’
‘will I be stranded on an
‘wah lightning! *zap* the boat breaks into 2 pieces’
So what happened next?
Obviously nothing lah.. or else how gua write this neh...
The rest of the day was spent lazing in the room watching Discovery channel & National Geographic. Raining mah...
*Thankfully the room is nice
What a great way to spend a holiday on an island eh… -_-*

You are The Sun
Happiness, Content, Joy.
The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.
Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.
The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.
What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Duhday
I looked at the mirror on the dresser...
'Not only you feel crappy, you look crappy as well' out came the words from my mouth...
Puffy eyes, tired & dull looking skin, acne & pimples everywhere, hairstyle out of shape...
'I'm tired', i've told myself many times at night...
Yet my mind refuses to rest at night...
As if my body has a mind of it's own, doing things against my own...
'I think that i'm just tired'...
'I think'...

On a brighter side, CJ is back in town...

My current favourite song: Boston by Augustana (Recommended by BBWolf, Thanks dude)
Love the piano...
in the light of the sun, is there anyone? oh it has begun...
oh dear you look so lost, eyes are red and tears are shed,
this world you must've crossed... you said...
you don't know me, you don't even care,
you don't know me, you don't wear my chains...
essential and appealed, carry all your thoughts across
an open field,
when flowers gaze at you... they're not the only ones who cry
when they see you
you said...
you don't know me, you don't even care,
you don't know me, you don't wear my chains...
she said I think I'll go to boston...
i think I'll start a new life,
i think I'll start it over, where no one knows my name,
i'll get out of california, I'm tired of the weather,
i think I'll get a lover and fly em out to spain...
i think I'll go to boston,
i think that I'm just tired
i think I need a new town, to leave this all behind...
i think I need a sunrise, I'm tired of the sunset,
i hear it's nice in the summer, some snow would be nice...
boston... where no one knows my name...

KK Day 3
*stretch*
Hmmm… It didn’t sound like my alarm… Strange…
Looked at the clock, it’s only 615am. Dreaming?
Then I heard a faint tweeting coming from the living room. Slowly, I tip toed towards the living room. To my surprise, there’re a few birds perched on the railing at the front porch of the hut.
Melodious morning songs… What a nice way to be awaken :)
There are 2 routes to choose from for the ascent to Laban Rata. One can take either the longer but more scenic Mesilau trail or the normal Timpohon trail. XT & I decided to take the Timpohon trail which is shorter and less strenuous.
There's a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words...
*counts*
18 x 1000 = 18 000 words :P
*view of Mt KK from Kinabalu Park
