I Heart Chu

Hidden in the midst of the concrete jungle in Jalan Yap Kwan Seng is Euro Deli Restaurant, a German restaurant known for its scrumptious selection of pork dishes. The interior deco is unpretentious and simple. Cleanliness is on par with classy restaurant and the staffs are attentive. They used to have the view of KL Twin Towers but it’s now blocked by the newly built Hamshire Park & Avenue K.

*the ham & pig are eating sausage, the sausage happily looks on. this is SO SALAH!

CJ & I arrived slightly half past 6 yesterday to the restaurant and it was still empty. The ever friendly Filipino captain ushered us to our own secluded corner of this cozy little restaurant and proceeded to take our order.

I ordered their famous pork knuckle while CJ opted for the pork cordon bleu and mushroom soup. They served us some oven warmed bread with butter to kick of off our appetite; yummy. The mushroom soup was a let down, too diluted and could hardly taste the mushroom but we weren’t there for the soup so we didn’t bother much. Around 15-20 minutes later, our foods were served. The skin of my pork knuckle was roasted to perfection, it reminds of Chinese suckling pig, yet the meat was tender and juicy. CJ’s pork cordon bleu was oozing with cheesy goodness yet it was not too overpowering and complemented the meat very well. After the hearty meal, there’s hardly any place left in our tummy for dessert. We struggled with our hot chocolate and cappuccino and left the place with a healthy and happy stomach. Simply Porkylicious!
